The critical bilingual edition of Bohuslav Martinů's letters from 1945-1949 addressed to Zdeněk Zouhar makes the collection of letters available for the first time, thus expanding the existing knowledge about the composer's work and clarifying the traditional but inaccurate information. It clarifies the development of B. Martinů's compositions, interpretation ideas, his contemporary attitudes, opinions on Moravian musical folklore. Previously unpublished correspondence sources and pictorial documents are cited here for the first time.
