CD Bohuslav Martinů Days 2016
The present CD includes recordings of Martinů Sonatina for clarinet and piano, H 356, and Sonata for Harpsichord, H 368, performed November 26, 2016 at the Bohuslav Martinů Hall at Academy of Music in Prague. The concert was part of the Bohuslav Martinů Days fastival and the instrumentalists were laureates of Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Competition 2016: Jana Černohouzová (clarinet) performing Sonatina with Lucie Valčová (piano), and Marie Ptáková (harpsichord) performing Sonáta.
The third composition on the CD is a historical recording of performance of Martinů String Quartet No. 7 (Concerto da Camera), H 314, by Kroll Quartet. William Kroll, Louis Graeler (violin), Nathan Gordon (viola) a Avron Twerdowsky (violoncello) delivered the last Martinů string quartet at Library of Congress, Washington, January 14, 1949.
